Screaming babies are not fun! Riehl is now (today 4/29/10) 7 weeks old, but man when he hit 6 weeks, we were in trouble. We could not seem to soothe Riehl. If he wasn't asleep or eating, he was screaming or fussing. We felt so bad that we couldn't help the poor little guy. Sadly, we were both at our wits-end (Is that how you spell it?) We tried just about everything!!!! Swaddling him tighter was a big help to get him to sleep longer, but it didn't help the crying. The 5 S's worked a little bit, but man, it was HORRIBLE! We took him to the Dr. because I was on meds and they thought that might have been making him mad, but it ended up being just a growth spurt!
Naturally, the next day he was much better. It was such a relief to see our little guy his happy self again. Cooing, smiling, laughing are all back and I LOVE IT! Here are some pics of the happy man now.

Crank Master Mcgee has made himself known to the Hilliard family! I'm glad my little grandson is back to his happy, smiling self. What a little chunk! :) We love him!
